B1 PET (Preliminary English Test) is an internationally recognized English language qualification by Cambridge Assessment English that proves a student can use English confidently in everyday situations. It is designed for learners at the intermediate level and helps improve practical skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. B1 PET prepares students for real-life communication in education, work, and travel while building a strong foundation for higher-level English exams.

What is B1 PET?
CEFR Level - B1
B1 Preliminary (PET) is aligned with the CEFR B1 level, showing that learners can communicate effectively in everyday English situations with confidence.
Scale Score 140–159
B1 Preliminary (PET) uses the Cambridge English Scale from 140–159 for the B1 level qualification.
Test Format - Digital or Paper-Based
B1 Preliminary (PET) is available in both Digital and Paper-Based test formats.
